2. 2. Why do you think that the news have to be sensationalists?
3. 3. Do you consider that people prefer or not the sensationalists’ news?

Of course in Costa Rica are super sensational news papers are based on pure pictures and sensational headlines that degrade people featured in this news I disrespect to his family. Some examples of newspapers that take advantage of sensationalism to draw the attention of buyers in the country are: La extra, La Teja, Al Dia, and La Nacion .... and others. From my point of view need not be tabloid news, but this is done as a publicity stunt to draw attention and make more money for the purchase of the news and newspapers in addition to all the inconsiderate people who like to see this kind of news and pictures of other people in the newspapers. Many people simply are driven by curiosity and publicity stunts unfair to people who appear and are degraded by this news I think if all we were to think better on things that cause this type of press and tabloid news and we get in place of those who are victim of this news, for example when there is an accident and is dead in shocking conditions, and newspapers were taking pictures of the victims of accidents not respecting the integrity of both the victims and relatives, would not buy these we would like newspapers or sensational news because all they do is degrade and expose the person who is part of the story.

ResponderEliminar1.yes are too sensational news would say I always try to carry it beyond the events that happen in our daily events and that people like because it adds as the sense and emotion of a story ... The papers are very outspoken about the things they publish because it draws the audience in the country to be more read and more for sale ... here in Costa Rica more tabloid newspaper called The Extra and is the best-selling stories published since the always very demonstrative and elgunos cases are rather repudiate as to exaggerate and even lie about things but it is a tactic to attract your purchase ...
ResponderEliminar2.The sencacionalistas news should be because people like to read things that impact and enable them to learn more than is necessary ...
3.yes ... because so notified in a more introverted and dynamic so exaggerated clinging to things allows them to believe and enjoyed with the events around the world ...
In my country the stories are bound to be sensational because people so require and because having an exaggeration in the stories of newspaper people more interested and thus increase the purchase ... here there are several papers which clearly show how to be between them: The Nation, The Extra and a day ... your competition is to establish normal stories and adapt them to the exciting concept to award the sale ...
ResponderEliminarThe news must be dramatic because people read what disrutan so exciting and make an impact on them ... because they can also entertain themselves and continue to acquire more satisfied with the newspaper ...
That depends on each person's taste though most prefer the tabloid because, as mentioned earlier stories are more extroverted and most popular public by the type of emotions that show
I do think that the news are sensational.
ResponderEliminarare also the newspapers. the newspaper likes to put many things and exaggerate.
examples may be that if a soccer player from Costa Rica is a good player , the news say that he is the best of all ...also the news says Costa Rica is de 'suiza' of central america, and costa rica not is compared with Suiza.
I think the news should be sensational because people are going so more interested, so they buy more newspapers, and watch more news.
and if I think people prefer sensational news because they will be more interesting, have more 'emotion' but is depending on the person.

1. Sometimes in Costa Rica the news are very sensationalists and exaggerated but just in some newspapers like “Diario Extra” and “La Teja” where you can see a lot of disgustings pictures or news that don’t have any sense.
ResponderEliminar2. I think that news have to be sensationalists because they have to catch the attention of the people. Is logic that you don’t want to buy a newspaper if all the news you see in it are borings or don’t call your attention.
3. I think that is better when the new is exiting but not exaggerated because in a lot of cases the news are very sillies and the people note that the new is falls or that they just don’t have nothing good to write about.

Of course that Costa Rica has sensational news, but this occurs more in the newspapers that are not so recognized, like La extra, La Teja, Al Dia and others...
ResponderEliminarThis is a type of media in which events and topics in news stories and pieces are over-hyped to increase viewership or readership numbers.
Recently there was a very disturbing image for the public in wich a person had a terrible accident, and one of the newspapers above-mentioned,did not mind the feelings of friends or relatives of the person involved.
That's why I think that people does not like this kind of way to increase viewership, because sometimes they are too strong for the public.

Yes,in costa rica there are a lot of sensationalist news,I think that nationally recognized newspapers, like La nación doesn't have this problem very often.
ResponderEliminarSome newspapers that fall into sensationalism are: lA EXTRA,LA TEJA,AL DÍA,in several publications, they have already shown how much a story can be exaggerated.
I think some newspaper publishers think that the more dramatic the header or the image is,they will have more readers, adn with this, more profit.
Depends on the person, some people believe that these newspapers do not have appropriate language and are vulgar, but many people like these journals because they think they are exciting.

In Our country we have this kind of media, both in the news and in newspapers.
ResponderEliminarIn the news we can notice that sometimes reporters usually get our attention with exaggerated news, like Telenoticias, or in newspapers, like La Extra,La teja and others..
Us,the viewers or readers, we realize that the story is a little altered or exaggerated every day, because this is the method used by the national media to get more buyers.
I think some people are interested in gossips and things that are not part of reality, but some other peolple enjoy watching and reading real things, with real stories that capture our attention without having to make things seem interesting.

yes, in costa rica the newspapers are too sensationalists, more the newspapers that are not so recognize like la Teja, La Extra or Al Día, there are others too.
ResponderEliminarIt has to be that way because other ways they wouldn't sale as they do, this sensationalist colums degrade the people that is in, and they're also full of images that aren't necesary.
Like when there is an accident, the journalist are too explicit with the death of the person, and they also took photos that aren't respectfull with the person who is death and their family, and that shouldn't be like that, they should be more respectfull with the persons and the readers.
the people does not thing about the person's life who is affected so they just prefer news that are sensationalist.

ResponderEliminarThe newspapers in Costa Rica are very good since most are greatly exaggerated, the Ticos often tell a different story and more interesting than actually step, so that others also seem exciting to them, that's what they do in newspapers exaggerate the real story. The papers are very interesting and keeps us informed about what's happening in our country and keeps readers informed and entertained with the stories. Some examples of newspapers that are sold are The Nation, Al Día, La Teja, The Extra, among others. Most newspapers what they want is to draw attention of people with interesting stories, but are only tactics to be purchased.
ResponderEliminarThe newspapers are great because they draw the attention of the buyer, keep you informed and entertained about what is happening in our country. I think people prefer sensational news because they are more fun and show people that were part of what happened and what has happened in the world and our country.
Costa Rica has some newspapers such as for example La teja and Diario Extra are too sensationalist and don`t respect the feelings of the families affected because they publish very impressive and bloody images.
ResponderEliminarI think that the news does not have to be sensational if it is important that people know what is happening in the country but that journalists do a good comment and publish pictures that aren`t shocking for the family.
Unfortunately people prefer this kind of news and they don`t think that victims have a family and when see these images feel sad that they lost a loved one. Valery Nuñez.
In my country dont have very sensational news since being a small country, there dont are many reports which put in the newspapers and that place are often not very interesting, I think newspapers have to be deeper when publish something, set of interests that are social and not just of few, for example in Costa Rica the nation is the most comprehensive newspaper because it brings all the topics and events, international, sports, economy, public opinion, and so on.
ResponderEliminarI think for the news was to be more sensational should go deeper into the reality of our country and not only above that do not have things as they are.
People like sensational news because they want something real and fun to tell what really happened and not something that not entertains and is just boring. The world's people have a right to know about what is happening and not hide it.
joseph valerio
In Costa Rica, as in most of the countries, there are sensationalist mass media, in our country, this phenomenom is specially expressed by newspapers. For example, the newspaper named "La Extra", is criticized by lots of people by expressing things as they are. But if we pay attention carefully, we could realize that most of Costa Rican People like watching blood, and street fightings, and exposing all kinds of thieves...
ResponderEliminarMass media NEED to be at least a little sensationalist because it's the way to make people do not get bored while reading a news paper or watching the news on TV.
As I said, MOST of Costa Rican people prefer sensationalist news media. Why?. Because they get more interested in reading or watching a new with bloody pictures than a news which you just can read it....

Yes, in Costa Rica the newspapers are to sensationalists, the newspaper must have interesting news, because people are interested in important news occurring around the world and the country example: economy, political, environment, social, sports, climate and others topics More gain more publicity for the company. The newspapers like La extra, La Teja, Al Dia, and La Nacion and others have exaggerated information in most cases, pictures of horrific accidents, false statements and lies. I think the news have must be written the truth, the truth no matter how exciting or boring, but is fulfilled and moral respects and Depends on the person, all are free to choose what they want to read, the success has more exciting news but everything has a limit.
ResponderEliminarPaola Bustos Fallas
If they are, I think newspapers exaggerate events and are completely sensationalist, insensitive, shallow, do not think about the reactions of people close to victims who are going through a bad time for the loss of a relative, for example photographs that showed in the automobile accident the missing player in " Diario Extra": Dennis Marshall. I think it must be so because if they fail to call the attention of readers but not crossing the line and respect not only to think about selling and the "effect" or "impact" that take the readers. As in any case if there are people like others who are not convinced the sensational news.
ResponderEliminarLaura Montero Obando
Of course they are, the people here in Costa Rica are really sensationalist. I think this because the newspaper always something happens, so, they publish the notice immediately and don’t think about what can be feeling the family of the victim in that moment. I don’t think the news has to be sensationalist but they don’t care so they do it on that way because if they don’t do it on that way the newspaper will not be sell In all the country, the problem here is not that the newspaper were sensationalist, the biggest problem here is that people in Costa Rica loves to buy these newspaper and what we do is to increase this sensationalist. But we have to ask ourselves something… if some person on my family were murdered will I like to see a photo of it in the front page of the favorite newspaper on the country? I don’t think so…Luis jesus arguedas alfaro
ResponderEliminarThe sensationalism is something. Classifying intended to thrill a precise and accurate guideline as to what is and is not sensationalism, I think is a fine line. An apparition, unusual events makes the subject matter even more difficult to addres. Some people like the sensationalism and for they this is pretty common but for other people this is like a offense.
ResponderEliminarIn costa rica sensationalism is not something weird because day by day in the news of tv programs or newspaper is pretty common this type of news. The people use to buy this things because usually is more interesting when you view something like this than a news that not not present all the success but the people don’t know what they are doing when they buy this thing and they should to don’t buy them. Well maybe in the future the people understand that sensationalism it isn’t good and the news could change a little.
